About Us 

Youth Empowerment Mentors of Los Angeles (YEMLA) was founded by Raymond Luke, a long-time community advocate with a passion for uplifting the next generation. As someone who has always been active in his community, Raymond created YEMLA to give back on a larger scale—providing mentorship, leadership, and opportunities to youth across Los Angeles County.

Inspired by his journey as a father and mentor to his son, Raymond Luke Jr., who now serves as President, the Luke's have turned their shared commitment to service into a powerful family mission. Together, they have united a team of men who were once at risk themselves but have overcome barriers and achieved success—now returning to guide and inspire the youth of today.

The executive team is strengthened by Nicole Mason, whose business acumen, financial expertise, and heart for giving back bring essential structure and impact to YEMLA’s work.

At YEMLA, our leadership reflects the values we instill in our youth—resilience, accountability, and community. Through mentorship and shared experience, we are building pathways to brighter futures for young people across Los Angeles.
